Since its inception in the year 1978, Bahwan Building Materials LLC (BBM) has been actively taking part in the nation building under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, to become one of the largest suppliers of building materials and steel in the Sultanate of Oman.
An ISO 9001:2008-certified company, BBM are a one-stop-shop for building contractors and construction consultants looking for turnkey supply of building materials and steel. With full-fledged sales, technical and services team, BBM specializes in end-to-end solutions right from planning, installing and commissioning to providing comprehensive aftersales service and support for spares/accessories.
BBM is segmented into two major strategic business units viz., building materials division and steel division.
Building Materials Division
The building materials division deals with a huge range of products that include sanitary ware, bathroom accessories, modular kitchens, ceramic tiles, marbles and granites, ceilings and partitions, electrical products, chandeliers and lights, ironmongery, architectural hardware, control devices for doors and gates, building finishing products, engineering and industrial products and construction equipment.
Building materials division caters to the increasing demand for conceptually aesthetic, domestic and commercial interiors by providing a walk-through experience for customers with its sophisticated in-store/showroom displays for kitchen, bathroom and office products in a complementary environment showcasing lighting, ironmongery, flooring, ceiling and partition products.
Its extensive network of warehouses and stockyards facilitates quick turnaround time and ensuring delivery within 24 to 48 hours mostly. During the last three years, the company has scaled it presence to Sinaw, Ibri and Mobellah and as on date, it has 11 branches in the Sultanate.
As part of its overall projects services capability, building material division offers interior design and installation services for office showrooms, villas and commercial buildings and industrial establishments. It also specializes in the supply of imported products meant for building finishing and electromechanical applications.
Steel Division
Assigning higher priority to the country's infrastructure development the steel division supplies a wide range of steel and allied products to both B2B[Business-to-Business] and B2C [Business-to-Consumer] segments – from multi-billion Riyals worth infrastructure contractors, government projects, large-scale housing projects to individual consumers. The range of products that steel division deals with includes TMT bars, structural steel, angles, channels, H & I beam, MS plates & sheets, GI sheets, plain round bars and guard rails/crash barriers.
The steel division's unique differentiation from its competitors is its value addition through processing of steel and other allied products and offering "ready-to-use" products to its customers, thereby minimizing/eliminating the processing time at project sites.
